Best Games of 2004-05: Had solid game at National Champion North Carolina with four points (2-3) and six rebounds in just 17 minutes....had a strong game off the bench at Miami with 10 points on 4-5 shooting in just 22 minutes....then had seven points and seven rebounds in 11 minutes against NC State....posted career high tying 16 points in loss to third-ranked Wake Forest in just 18 minutes, he was 5-6 from the field...had very productive performance at Duke, he accumulated nine points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals in just 16 minutes....scored 13 points in just 20 minutes in the win over Indiana State, he led the Tigers in scoring in that game, the first time in his career he led Clemson in scoring....scored career high 16 points on 7-12 shooting and had 10 rebounds invictory over Norfolk State...achieved that double-double in just 19 minutes...has two career double-doubles and both have been achieved in 19 minutes....scored then career high 11 points in season opener against Hampton in just 22 minutes, he made 5-8 shots from the field and added five rebounds....had typical game against Boston College with six points on 3-4shooting in 17 minutes....also had 3-4 against Ohio State...had strong all-around game against UNC Asheville, he had eight points, nine rebounds, four blocks and three steals in just 23 minutes.

In 2003-04: Made at least one field goal in 27 of the 28 games and shot at least 50 percent from the field all but four games.... led the team in dunks with 26, a good sign in that he has become more aggressive going to the basket....26 of his 57 field goals were dunks, 46 percent.... had 10 points and 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes in the season opener against Gardner-Webb, first Tiger in eight years to get a double-double in less than 20 minutes playing time....that was his first career double-double....had two double figure rebound games...sot 60.6 percent from the field, but hit 64.4 percent at home, best by a Tiger in 2003-04...ironic in that he did not score in Littlejohn Coliseum as a freshman, all 14 of his points were on the road or in the Civic Center of Anderson...averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds per game in home games when pro rating his stats to a 40-minute basis...37 of his 81 rebounds were offensive, the best percentage of total rebounds off the offensive boards by a Tiger...made at least half of his shots in each of the first 12 games of the season...shot 13-17 from the field in Clemson's four wins over teams that made the NCAA Tournament (ETSU, Boston College, NC State and North Carolina)...started just four games all year, but those were four of the last six games of the season, he will challenge for starting assignment in 2004-05...scored in every game but one, the game at Wake Forest on Jan. 14 when he played just 14 minutes...played double figures in all but one game and at least 20 in 10 games...played at least 20 minutes in eight of his last nine games.

In 2002-03: Made his first six field goal attempts of the season, best start to a season since Ray Henderson made his first eight in 1999-00... did not play in the opener against Wofford, but had outstanding first game against High Point...had eight points and six rebounds in productive 13 minutes in the game played in the Greensboro Coliseum...made 3-3 field goals and 2-3 free throws...those were his season highs in all of those categories...showed ability to catch the ball in traffic in that victory...had another fine outing against Liberty, he was 2-2 from the field and scored four points in just five minutes... played in 12 of the 28 games, including 25 minutes in six ACC games...did not score in the ACC, he took just one shot, but did have five rebounds...had three rebounds in nine minutes at Wake Forest for his most action in an ACC game as a freshman...yet to score in Littlejohn Coliseum, all his points were either on the road or at the Civic Center of Anderson.

In High School: Led The Brunswick School (CT) to a 19-6 record his senior year and a runner-up finish in the New England Prep School Championships...team won the conference championship ...led the team with 22 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shots per game...had season highs of 41 points, 22 rebounds and 14 blocked shots... all-tournament team selection at the National Prep School Invitational this past year...earned MVP honors in the Born2Run Classic, as he scored 23 points to lead Team USA over Team Pennsylvania... played in that game against fellow Clemson freshman Julian Betko of Sharon High in Pennsylvania... three-time FAA all-league selection... averaged 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocked shots per game as a junior... also shot an astounding 68 percent from the floor...had a season-high 11 blocks in a game that year... team was conference runner-up and reached New England Prep playoffs... led his team to the championship during his sophomore year... as a sophomore averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks per game...team won the New England Prep championship...a two-time all-league selection by the Fair Chester Athletic Association... ranked 88th among rising seniors by Hoop Scoop his last summer...played under coach Greg Dobbs...chose Clemson over George Washington, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Villanova...majoring in general business....born Akinlolu Akinayi Akingbala on 3-25-83 in Lagos, Nigeria.
