Overview: Red-shirt senior who saw action for the first time in 2004-05...played one tournament in fall of 2007 and had career best 218 at The Brickyard...named most improved player on the 2006-07 Clemson team...that was for his overall improvement during practice and for his performance in the summer of 2007...finished fifth at the 2007 South Carolina Amateur...qualified for the United States Amateur...played in the Schenkel/E-Z-Go Invitational shooting rounds of 80-78-84 for a 242 total and a 70th place finish...red-shirted the 2003-04 season along with classmate Tanner Ervin.

Fall of 2007: Played in the Brickyard Invitational as an individually...had consistent showing with a 218 score, good enough for 24th place...had an opening round 70 that had him in the top 10 after the first round...had second round 72 and finished with a 76...certainly a performance that gives Coach Penley confidence in putting him in the lineup this season...the 218 was his career best, as was his 70 in the opening round....is score would have counted in two of the three rounds toward Clemson's team score.

Summer 2007: Had a strong summer that was highlighted by a fifth place finish at the South Carolina Amateur in August...qualified for the United States Amateur...had rounds of 79 and 74, so he did not advance, but still played well... his performance at the South Carolina Amateur included consistent rounds of 7-72-71-72...one of just three players in the field to shoot par or better all four rounds...finished with a two under 286...also played in the South Carolina Match Play, the Dogwood and the Eastern Amateur during his busy summer schedule.

Summer of 2006: Finished 54th at Rice Planters with 298 score, 10 over par...had consistent rounds of 72-75-76-75.

In 2005-06: Did not play in any tournaments for the Tigers.

Summer 2005: Played in a few amateur events over the summer 2005, including the Rice Planters Amateur, Palmetto Amateur, and the South Carolina Amateur...best finish of the summer was a 38th place showing at the Palmetto Amateur...had rounds of 74-72-74-75 for an 11-over-par 295 total in the tournament...finished 63rd in the South Carolina Amateur and 103rd in the Rice Planters Amateur.

In 2004-05: Played in his first career tournament as a Clemson Tiger at the Schenkel/E-Z-Go Invitational...shot rounds of 80-78-84 for a 26 over par 242 total over 54 holes and a 70th place finish...finished the season with an 80.67 stroke average.

Summer 2003: Missed the cut by just one stroke in the South Carolina Amateur at Greenville Country Club...competed in the Palmetto Amateur in Aiken, SC in Augusta...finished in a tie for 30th with fellow Tiger Brian Duncan...had a 294 total for the four rounds, including a pair of 71s.

In High School: State 4A champion during his senior year of high school...Clemson classmate Tanner Ervin won that same title the previous year, he then defeated Ervin the next year...also won the state junior championship in 2002...two-time 4A all-state selection at Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, SC...had impressive junior year in 2002 when he won the Players Championship and finished second at the Southern Cross...named the South Carolina Jay Haas Player of the Year for his performance that year...in 2001 he finished second at both the 4A State Championship and the South Carolina Match Play Championship...set a tournament record when he won the 2000 North Augusta Junior Invitational...named all-region five times during his prep career...played his high school golf at Hillcrest for Jay Feltz...Personal: Born January 28, 1985...majoring in recreation, parks and tourism management at Clemson.
